So, what is this you may ask? I have no idea until I tried it as well. It's my second time at Kuchai Lama area and I spotted this Changqing Hot Pot shop the first time there! The aroma was so captivating and everyone there seemed to enjoy the food a lot.
With some miracle, Jiunn Liang managed to borrow a car from his uncle, so we headed to try this at last! We opted for the medium-sized chicken hot pot and you can adjust the spiciness range you desire. Between none, mild, normal and spicy, we chose mild and it was just at the right amount of spicy kick!
Mmmm. Succulent and juicy chicken meat, bursting with flavour with every bite, infused with thick gravy!
The shop also serves a variety of other meat like fish, beef and pork! And sadly to say, from some other blogs I just read to find out the shop's name (since I can't read chinese), that there's more to meet the eye about the pot. After you finish, you can order some vegetables (ala raw steamboat style) and the waitress will pour soup into the pot, and it transforms into a steamboat instead, with all the rich gravy still intact ready to seep into the soup. *sigh*
The driver with his so appropriately named shirt :)
The super annoying driver that got impatient while I was trying to take picture of the hot pot, cause he was rushing to sink his teeth into it!
And I finally satisfied my Snowflake cravings after so long! Went Pavillion in the afternoon with Pui Mun and had it there.
There's another Snowflake at Kuchai Lama, so how is it possible to resist? As always, Soya Ice with the usual works.
If only I have a car, I'll be obese in just a month, so many food places to try out in KL!
